If We Only Knew...

Imagine you are a smallish young genius in the same class with very tall boys who bully you without mercy. You are really scared of them but can't help excelling in every subject. You are an integral genius. One beautiful day you walk down a lonely pathway by yourself as usual and overhear your bullies whispering...

" That chap is very powerful, I fear he will deal with us sometime soon."
" He is connected to people that matter as everyone loves him, we need to watch it."
" My heart's always thumping whenever we accost him."

What will be your action and expression the very next time you meet with them face to face?

Often times we are crippled with the fear of a challenge before us. Most of these appear real big, and indeed they are. Sometimes the challenges last so long, our fears become second nature.

Gideon found himself in this shoe until he was guided to hear what his fears thought about him, (Judges 7:9-14). Boy! How amazed and courageous he became, he could charge at his fear with acutely few and ill-armed resources. He won because of the integral excellence in him, equivalent to the God in you today, the Jesus you call daily.

If we only knew our fears were afraid of us, we'll not spend any sweat pampering them, we'll not for one moment whimper and whine.

"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; be not frightened, neither be dismayed; for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" Josh 1:9
